Acciai Speciali Terni Spa (AST) can boast a long industrial tradition with over 137 years of presence on the market and now ranks among the most important European integrated cycle steel plants. The company’s core business consists of flat rolled stainless steel products, for which AST is the market leader in Italy and one of the top four manufacturers in Europe. In addition to flat rolled steel products, the company produces electro welded stainless tubes, through its Tubificio Division, and forgings made of special steel, among the largest in the world, through its Forging Division.

AST manufacturing facilities are concentrated in Terni, in an area of over 1,500,000 square metres, and cover the entire manufacturing cycle, from casting to packaging. Equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, the AST plants provide about one million tons of special steel per year. The company employs more than 2,300 people directly and several hundred more workers are involved in services and related industries.

Fucine Umbre is a make to print company, operating in the aeronautical sector, that manufactures components and equipment that require, in addition to mechanical machining and finishing activities, also assemblies and testing.

There are five application areas: landing gear, wheels and brakes, actuation and control systems, rotors and transmissions, and structural parts.

SANGRAF

Part of the SANGRAF International Group, the company, with its production site in Narni, is characterized by the production of graphite electrodes for the steel industry. The fully integrated graphite plant boasts a long tradition in the sector, positioning itself among the best producers of high quality electrodes.

The only graphite producer in Italy, the plant is strategically positioned to provide premium graphite products and services in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, destined to become, for the Sangraf Group, the reference production hub for Western markets.

TARKETT

Tarkett is a worldwide leader in innovative flooring and sports surface solutions and in Italy has its strategic center in Narni with the Linoleum production site and sales offices. Narni plant, founded in 1898, is an excellent example of a circular economy. Linoleum indeed, is manufactured with natural raw materials such as linseed oil, pine resin, wood flour, cork and jute, which come entirely from renewable sources.
